Katie is currently a Master’s in physics student at RIT and is interested in studying black holes and their accretion disks. Previously she studied physics at James Madison University and worked on modeling the iron fluorescent emission line originating from the inner regions of supermassive black hole accretion disks. Here at RIT, she's working on modeling the iron fluorescent line around a black hole binary system.
